Carbon-Fiber Travel Tripod

Adaptable to a wide range of uses, the 3 Legged Thing Equinox Albert tripod system is compact enough to fit in your carry-on, light enough for long hikes, and heavy-duty enough for virtually any camera and lens configuration. It’s crafted from the company’s Pure Stealth carbon fiber, with a modular three-section center column that offers an incredible working range—extending from almost floor level to over 74 total inches. Finally, the parallel locking system prevents accidental disassembly for an extra-stable setup.

Note: This drop is for the Albert tripod with the AirHed 360 ball head and a 3-pack of the Stilletoz tripod feet ($60 value). At checkout, you can add your choice of accessories: Clawz feet 3-pack (+ $40), Heelz feet 3-pack (+ $40), or QR6-EQ release plate (+ $18).

Versatile Functionality

The tripod system's modular technology allows for infinite configurations. It's tall enough to use as a light stand for both strobes and off-camera flash, and at this height, also makes a useful stabilized monopod (tri-mono mode). Looking for macro capability? The center column can be inverted, permitting you to raise the canopy height while still lowering the camera to the floor, with easy access to the camera controls for optimum workflow. Like all 3 Legged Thing tripods, the Albert has a detachable leg with standard ⅜-inch threads at both ends. This enables use as a monopod, microphone boom, selfie stick, camera boom, and more.

Included Ball Head

Made from ADC12 magnesium alloy, the AirHed 360 weighs just 14 ounces and is engineered to withstand top-down loads of 440 pounds. It has a milled stainless steel camera screw, an integrated pano-clamp for level panning on uneven terrain, and a hybrid release plate compatible with both Peak Design and Arca Swiss clamps. The pano-clamp is detachable with a standard ⅜-inch thread and can be used as a panning device independent of the AirHed 360.

Tripod Feet in 3 Styles

Stabilize your tripod on various terrain with the Clawz, Heelz, or Stilettoz feet. The Clawz spread the load over a wider area, great for malleable terrain (like snow or sand) and rocky, icy surfaces. Designed for harder surfaces like concrete and rock, the Heelz are also useful at home on surfaces that range from carpet to vinyl. Finally, the Stilettoz are meant to elevate your tripod clear of potentially harmful terrain (on rocky ground) or to embed it to provide a firmer anchor during windy, turbulent weather (in softer ground). All attachments have a ¼ inch – 20 thread and a ⅜-inch stainless steel threaded sleeve, and are universally compatible with any 3 Legged Thing tripod (from 2014 onwards) that has either of these standard fittings.

Optional Release Plate

The QR6 EQ release plate has a 38- by 60-millimeter Arca profile footprint with three slotted ¼-inch 20 sockets to give you more alignment options for your mirrorless, compact, APS-C, or full-frame camera. Two 2.5-millimeter hex retaining bolts and a milled stainless steel screw prevent your camera from sliding free when loosened. A precision-machined anodized finish completes the package, which fits into a standard Arca Swiss clamp.
