A Set Designed for Designers

Note: At check-out, you can choose the lead size for the mechanical pencil in this set (0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.7 mm, or 0.9 mm), which includes a HB lead refill.

Graphite Pencils

This eight-piece set comes with a sharpener, eraser, and graphite pencils ranging in degrees of softness from 8B (soft) to 6H (extra hard). Soft leads are typically used for blending and sketching, while the harder leads are best for creating straight lines and detail work. The lead is easy to erase and also break-resistant because the entire length of the lead is bonded to the wood.

Mechanical Pencils

Great for drafting or writing, the mechanical pencil comes with ISO color-coding on the barrel and push-button, an adjustable hardness degree indicator, and non-slip rubber grip. There is also a metal lead sleeve to provide a gliding performance and accuracy when used with rulers and templates.

French Curves

Often used in manual drafting, a French curve serves as a template to help create perfect and smooth curves of various sizes. Among the basic plastic French Curves in this set, STAEDTLER’s Mars Flexible Curve is made from a square metal core that’s covered in flexible plastic. Both imperial and metric measurements are represented on the curve.

Notebook

The Grids & Guides notebook is a visual aid that helps you map out your drawings and designs. It comes with 144 pages of variously styled graph paper as well as scientific supplements such as charts, tables, and infographics. The hardbound fabric cover is debossed with a grid pattern on the front, and has a nice amount of flexibility.
